Carla Bruni dazzled on the Met Gala red carpet in diamond jewelry by Parisian fashion house Messika, paying a moving tribute to her close friend Karl Lagerfeld.

The singer and former First Lady of France opted for an elegant black and white outfit, accessorised with a fan in a nod to the iconic designer, as well as pieces from the Messika High Jewelry collection such as the Flappers choker, the Bright Falcon bracelet and the Twin Soul ring.
